Volunteer Opportunities

Classroom Assistance

Help our teachers in the classroom by assisting students with activities, providing one-on-one attention, and supporting educational programs. Classroom volunteers work under the guidance of our special education teachers and contribute to creating a positive learning environment.

Recreational Activities

Organize and participate in recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, music, and games that help our students develop social skills and have fun. Recreational volunteers bring energy and creativity to our school and help create joyful experiences for our students.

Event Planning

Help plan and execute special events such as the Blessed Allamano Feast Day, sports competitions, and other celebrations that bring joy to our students. Event volunteers assist with organization, decoration, coordination, and ensuring the smooth running of events.

Administrative Support

Provide assistance with administrative tasks such as organizing files, data entry, preparing materials, and other office duties. Administrative volunteers help our staff focus more time on direct student care and education by handling important behind-the-scenes work.

Fundraising

Participate in fundraising activities to support the school's programs and facilities. Fundraising volunteers help organize campaigns, reach out to potential donors, and raise awareness about the school's needs and mission in the community.

Specialized Skills

Share your specialized skills such as music, art, sports, therapy, or technology to enrich our students' learning experiences. If you have a particular talent or expertise, we can find ways to incorporate it into our programs to benefit our students.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need special qualifications to volunteer?

No special qualifications are required for most volunteer positions. We provide orientation and training for all volunteers. The most important qualities are compassion, patience, and a willingness to learn. For certain specialized roles (such as therapy assistance), relevant qualifications may be beneficial but are not always required.

How much time do I need to commit?

The time commitment varies depending on the type of volunteering. Regular volunteers typically commit to at least 3-4 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months. Event volunteers commit to specific events, which may range from a few hours to a full day. One-time volunteers can contribute for a single day. We appreciate any time you can give and will work with your schedule.

Can I volunteer as part of a group?

Yes, we welcome volunteer groups from schools, universities, churches, companies, and other organizations. Group volunteering can be arranged for special projects, events, or regular assistance. Please contact us directly to discuss group volunteering opportunities and to coordinate arrangements that suit your group's size and interests.

Is there an age requirement for volunteers?

Volunteers should be at least 16 years old. Younger volunteers (ages 12-15) may participate if accompanied by a parent or guardian. For certain roles that involve direct work with students, volunteers must be at least 18 years old. We assess each volunteer's maturity and suitability for specific roles regardless of age.
